Woodland Caribou

After four days of hunting the bogs of New Foundland with no sign of caribou, I was lucky enough to be moved by plane to another location. After walking three miles uphill, my guide and I finally found a herd. It was an absolutely amazing experience, these were the first caribou I had seen in person. Words can’t describe the excitement I felt as we crawled around 200 yards across the moss covered rocks just to get within range.

At 190 yards with a strong cross wind I trusted my 300 win mag and the 180 grain American Whitetail round to do the rest. I am so lucky to have been able to go on this trip of a lifetime, all the thanks in the world goes to my father. This was one experience I will cherish and never forget.
