11/16/2013 opening day of the Vermont whitetail deer season: 3 'doe bleats' and 3 'buck grunts' and 15 minutes after sitting down I shot a 6 point buck at 20 yards. The rifle - a Ruger M77/44; Ammo - Hornady "Leverevolution" 225 grain FTX.
The bullet entered the base of the neck near the shoulder and slightly below the neck vertebrae, passed through the neck, the upper cavity near the heart, and exited slightly behind the opposite shoulder. The exit location verified excellent bullet expansion. The wound cavity was clean with near zero meat loss.
I am 100% satisfied with the performance of this ammo!
