Texas Hog with a .44 Mag 300 gr XTP

Spent the weekend in Hondo Texas deer hunting. One of our trail cameras showed this hog making an occasional appearance at a bow blind feeder during daylight hours, so I left the rifle in the truck and took my Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 Magnum. Initially, I had it loaded with the 225 grain LeverEvolution rounds, but as I thought back on the size of the hog on the trail cam, I decided the 300 grain XTPs were a better option. Then, thirty minutes before sunset, this hog showed up. One shot on the point of his right shoulder, and he was done...right there. No trailing. Great product, great performance. Bullet didn't exit, but the results were dramatic.
