My name is Johnny Picone and I am a 13 year old 7th grade student. As a reward for getting straight A's this school year my dad took me on my first bear hunt in Manitoba, Canada during early June.

We were lucky enough to see 6 bears on the first night! For this hunt I took my 300 Win. Mag. Loaded with 200 grain precision hunter rounds. When a good bear came out I dropped it in its tracks with 1 shot behind the shoulder. We didn't even have to track it. It was DRT.

What an amazing hunt! I'm so glad I picked the right round for the job!
