Roosevelt elk

My uncle put in for this BC Roosevelt elk hunt for 20+ years. My uncle Bryan and cousin Mike showed up 3 days early to scout. He took this elk opening morning at 450 yards with his 300 weatherby mag and a Hornady 180 grain BTSP. He retrieved the bullet and it performed perfectly retaining 168 grains with a full mushroom.
