One opening deer season in North Missouri, my brother shot a buck with his .45 Ruger Blackhawk. I walked to him and this buck jumped up and ran to my left, 20 yards away. I fired my M77 , .270 Winchester, 140 gr. Hornady BT. I fired from the hip, it hit the deer in left rib cage, picked it up and slammed him down on his right side, DOA! I recovered this slug and still have it.
