I was hunting this winter in Florida. I use my PWS .308 with glass (quick detach mounts) during the daylight hours and convert to thermal after the sun sets for hogs. During my conversion at sunset, i removed my mag and took the scope off my AR. I sat in my truck, parked on a road on the ranch and starting eating dinner. Periodically, i'd scan for thermal images. As i scanned through the open passenger window, I saw a lone boar. I quickly put down my meal, grabbed the AR and mounted the thermal. Due to the right wind, I walked up to within 75yds of the feeding boar. It was just then i realize my mag was on my front seat and only had one round in the pipe...it had to be a money shot on a 200lb hog. The Hornady round didn't let me down. One well placed shot and zero steps after impact.
