Morning Hog Hunt

My son, Phillip, and I have busy schedules, just as many people do. We finally decided to set a date for a hog hunt on private land. We had arrived at the property almost 1 hour before sunrise. Upon climbing into our separate tree stands, we settled down for sunrise. Just the mosquito's humming and the dew dripping onto our heads.
After a few hours, our friend turned two dogs loose and we pursued on foot. After a brief chase, the hogs were bayed up, and a shot presented itself.
At 75 yards I put one bullet from my Model 70 (.308) into the red boar. I hand load the Hornady 150 gr. Interlock. My son shot his first one with the Marlin .45-70. He used the LEVEREvolution, by Hornady in his lever gun. We took one more each, same rifles and cartridges. I hand load Hornady for all my cartridges.
