We are lucky, or unlucky depending on how you look at it. We have LOTS of hogs on our lease. It is easy to see 30+ hogs at several of the feeders every day, morning or evening.

I had a day off and decided to take the drive and see if I could call in a coyote or see some hogs. Sure enough, the hogs came in and one was HUGE!

I quietly got my Remington 700 270 Winchester out the window and placed the crosshairs of the Leupold scope on the big boars ear. I knew that if I could shoot him in or around the ear he would never move.

The 140 Grain SST's my Pop loaded for me were true and the big boar dropped in his tracks. I had to go to the other side of the ranch to get the lift as I could not move him with the tools I had. I'll never forget this hog. But, we have more!
