Late season

Had a long season in the bighorn mountains in Wyoming had a lot of early season snow storms pushing elk down low. Spent time glassing and busting timber never could seal the deal on a bull I had been watching but on the last weekend I caught a cow in the open and put her down. after a 7 hour pack out I got to take her home upon skinning down my quarter I found my bullet. It had passed through both shoulders and stopped at the hide . I was pleased to see it had 97% retention and little damage to any meat.
