In July this year we've decided to do our first Karoo hunt as we usually hunt in the bushveld up north in South Africa, Early the Friday morning armed with my 300win mag and with my Hornady 180gr SST superformance in the mag, we've spotted this beautiful herd or Oryx in the distance. We've stalked them for about 2 hours before this one stunning cow gave the opportunity for a shot on about 280m. As I squeezed the trigger I knew that it was a good short and killed the cow with a neck shot. Hunting in the Karoo is one of my best hunts ever, and will definitely be doing it year on year
