I have been an avid shooter and collector since about 1970, and also an amateur gunsmith. I bought a German 98 back in 1970. I went through the old military ammo at the time with not very good results. So I checked into reloading ammo myself. The first bullets I reloaded were Hornady. And before where I could barely hold any kind of a group together on a target with Hornady reloads I was hitting 2 inch groups at 100 yards.

I sporterized the military mauser later turned dow the bolt to add a scope and was hitting one inch groups at 200 yards. There are other rifles I have collected over the years but this 98 mauser and my 30-06 springfield I love the most for the joy of shooting and accuracy.

My hats off to the manufacturers of Hornady. You have a customer for life.
