Full moon rut hunt

It's October 30th and starting of the rut in Eastern N.C. I decided to sit from noon to dark on the day of full moon 2013 season. With hopes high and my Remington 700 in hand I started the hunt at noon. In stand on a bean field looking 400 plus yards all around. The buck came out chasing a doe at 1:15 p.m. I was surprised as I was getting gun up. After 10 mins of them running in and out of site I made the shot. I sent the Hornady Superformance 140 gr. to him at 265 yards. A good mule kick and I went to look. He was just in wood line dead with a massive pass though shot. Great bullet! I have killed other bucks with same gun and bullet 500 plus yards. Outstanding round.
