I carried my granddaughter who is 10 years old hunting on 1/7/17 which is youth day in South Carolina that morning it was in the upper 20's raining and cold the 7 point came out at 7:10 walked across the field and starting feeding she waited about 30 minutes for him to turn perfectly broadside to her. She took her shot and it was a perfect double lung shot on him he ran about 20 yards and was down for the count. She was shooting a Ruger American compact .223 with a Leupold VX3 3.5-10X50 using Hornady.223 super performance 75 grain BTHP ammo # 80264.
