First 190's Buck
By Todd Anderson
December 16, 2015
Lucky spot and stalk on opening day of Illinois muzzle loader season.
170 plus yard shot using Hornady 50 cal Sabot 240 gr XTP mags.
He was in tall switch grass working his way to alfalfa field, i knew he was a shooter buck and didn't really have time to study him.As he walked into an open lane at 170 plus yards, I shot, heard it hit him. As the powder smoke cleared i watch him run directly away from my position an realized he was large. he went about 80 yards and fell over dead. The 240 gr XTP went through him just behind the shoulders.Love the accuracy and power.Thank you, Todd Anderson
