A nice little fallow hind shot with the 95g Hornady SST from my Howa 243 in the Wairarapa. Range was approximately 75 metres and the first shoulder shot knocked her down immediately. We recovered the bullet on the off side of the animal still weighing 49.8g. The projectile demonstrated double calibre expansion.

The second finishing shot (which was probably unnecessary in hindsight) was through the back of the head and out through the left cheek.
