Dad's 1st hog

Met my parents in Rocksprings today. My dad has been itching to shoot his first hog. I told him we don't have very many at my new place but bring your rifle anyway. As soon as we pulled up in camp I checked the camp feeder and there where hogs there. Dad grabbed his 45/70 iron shifted rifle and climbed up in the tower. He shot the biggest one ar 115 yards and it ran off. Dad, my two daughters and I got on the blood trail. It went for a while and then we lost it. I had them wait at the last blood and I went for a walk. I walked up on the hog and it ran off. I chased it down and put a 45 ACP round in its shoulder. It stood there and stared at me. That ticked me off. I put a second round in its neck and down it went. What a great day with my dad.
