Black Hawaiin Sheep

In early April I traveled from my home near Denver, Co. to Calvin, OK. I hunted the Triple S Ranch . It is a 3,000 acre game ranch, that is really spread out with lots of hills, valleys, rock and creeks, It was really beautiful. My first day out I took a nice Merino ram, sometimes called a Rambo ram or Rocky Mt. ram. Late the second day I took this nice Black Hawaiin ram. I did not see this ram at all on the first day.We did not take him right away, but came back in the afternoon. As you can guess, they had moved, so we had to find them in the woods and stalk them. I was on my hands and knees crawling to stay low. When the group of rams started to move on I took my shot at about 75 yards. He had 10 inch bases and 29 inches of length. Thanks to Steve Siebert and the SSS Ranch
