I was looking for a good all purpose load for my .308 Win. After trying a couple of different brands with ok sub moa precision, I picked up a box of 178 A-max bullets...Man! I started at the low end of load data and worked up. It seemed my 20" 1:10 varmint barrel loves these things! They literally turned my sub 1 moa rifle into a solid and consistent sub 1/2 moa rifle.

2016 Deer season was the first season I was able to hunt with my handloads. The 178 Amax peformed better than expected on 3 kills. My old eyes are too tired to chase blood trails and the 178 Amax drops them in their tracks! Thank you, Hornady...you guys rock!
