I am Joe Metzger I run an outdoors channel called Minimalist Outdoors on YouTube. I have been Hornady Ammunition since I started hunting. This past deer opening season in rifle zone (northern Minnesota) I hunt the same woods of Nevis in Paul Bunyan State Park. Every year I carry the same two rifles with me. One River American Predator 6.5mm Creedmoor, and a CVA Hunter .44 magnum.

This year I took the biggest public buck I have ever taken and I am very grateful. This deer is a 210lb 8 pointer, the rifle I used was none other than my trusty, lethal, and accurate Ruger 6.5mm Creedmoor chambering the Hornady American Whitetail 129gr. Soft points. Shot this buck on the run in the neck, the kill took only one bullet. Humane shot that made him drop right away.
