I bought a new rifle, a .44 magnum. At 50 yards it was all over the paper while 100 yards was out of the question. I wasted a lot of money, time and ammo trying to zero it in using as many as 6 different brands/types of ammo! I finally tried the red-tipped Hornady ammo and within 4 shots my rifle was zeroed at 50, (and soon even 100 yards)! Every gun has it's favorite ammo from now on all of my rifles will be shooting only Hornady.
