Alaskan Brown Bear

Glassing the beaches for Kodiak Brown Bear can be quite the waiting game and taking a chance on going early because of the warm winter and early spring seemed to pay off. With this big boar roaming the beach at low tide we took full advantage of the opportunity and put a stalk on him. Closing the distance to just 75 yards to the bear the .375 Ruger using the Hornady Interlock 270 grain SP-RP did the job and he only went about 15 yards! This bear measured out to 9'6" and was fresh out of the den with an absolute beautiful hide and lots of blonde highlights. The bullet did its job to stop that bear but also no damage to the hide. This hunt was a dream come true!
