6mm 105 AMax vs big rodent

By PeteP

August 22, 2015

This is a western rock-chuck or yellow bellied marmot shot at 315 yards with a 6mm AI.

After working up a load that would get 85% hits on a pop can size target at 500 meters I was ready to go.

I hope to get a smaller 6mm soon that might give me better long range results on targets but I will still use to Ackley for varmints.

H1000 powder, CCI 34 primer, fire-formed Win .257 R +P brass, 1-8 twist.
