44 on Boar

Took along one of my favorite old rifles, an old Ruger 44 Carbine, on a wild boar hunt with Bridgecreek Outfitters in Tenn. While I was told a straight on shot was not good because of their thick skull and shoulder plates, my situation left me no choice. The 225gr FTX bullet entered 2 inches below his right eye... dropped the 275 pound boar in his tracks... and was recovered along the spine between the shoulder blades!

Awesomely tough bullet! Please don't ever discontinue this ammo!
