At 300 yds this 11 point stood on the side of the highline, about 30 mins before dark. Earlier 3 does had crossed the high line. And, with the rut on, I decided I would watch the spot where they had come out and sure enough there was standing just inside the woods. I handload my own bullets. I know how they shoot. I leveled off on him,, and, said to myself I'm not gonna let him cross that highline. Once in the open on the highline, i knew he would run. I didn't want to give him a chance to run. I leveled off squeezed the trigger he disappeared. The 150 grain interloc did its job. The buck dropped in his tracks. Love those interlock.
