My first experience with Hornady was using my Mossberg 500 loaded with SST 12 guage Sabot. After climbing into my stand an unexpecting buck decided to grace me with his presence. An 80 yard shot with any other 12 guage slug would be possible but not as devastating as the Hornady SST was. A broad side shot impacted just behind its shoulder and quite literately knocked the 235 pound, 7 point buck off its feet. The buck stumbled and dropped 10 feet from where it was shot! Now, the only round I will put through my 500 is the SST.
