1st black bear
By Peter Muller
November 24, 2013
Two friends and I were out deer hunting 11/23/13 in Prattsburg, NY and it was snowing pretty good. We did a small drive and were walking back to the cabin when I heard something in the brush I was expecting a deer to appear but it was a bear. I stayed still on the trail, it looked at me and started walking toward me. I ended up taking a 15 yard shot with my Remington 1187 20 gauge using a Hornady sabot.
