Mid range shot
By Mitchell Handley

Towards the end of Georgia deer season I was looking for a nice buck to take for the year since I had already shot several doe. About 8:30 in the morning out from the tree line this guy walks out. He's about 200-250 yards quartered to me on a ridge out in the clear cut. As I'm deciding if I want to shoot him he takes a few steps and is now in a better spot for a shot. I shot him in the front left shoulder, he dropped on the spot. As I'm cleaning him back at camp I find the round, intact almost punching through the hide of his right rear ham. To say my buddies and I were impressed was an understatement, from that point on I only use Hornady Superformance SST.
