First ever Mule Deer hunt in Arizona. I was fortunate enough to have two good friends as guides and my son with me. We spotted a nice 3x3 the previous day and while glassing for him the following day saw this 4x4 that had run the smaller deer off. We originally got to 500 yards of him but without a good shot we decided to try and get closer. Two of us tracked around a ridge and finally got to within 300 yards while my son and other friend watched from our original position. Just as I was getting ready for the shot, the doe with the buck spotted us and started trotting off. The buck started trotting behind her and was heading over the ridge. I lined up the shot, leading him a bit and fired just before he went over the ridge. Perfect penetration taking out both lungs. He dropped and rolled almost immediately. Great ammunition, I'm a customer for life.
