Hornady accuracy

By Mitchell Erickson

I just finished putting together a Rock River LAR 8 Standard A4 rifle, AR-10 7.62X51 caliber. I topped it with a Leatherwood 50MM scope and took it out to sight in. My loads were Lake City brass ( 95 ) CCI #34 primer, 42.0 grains of IMR4895 powder under Hornady 168 gr BTHP bullets. Temperature was 74 degrees, light winds. After dialing in the scope for a 200 yard zero, I put fresh paper on the back stop and proceeded to print a sub moa 5 shot group. I believe Hornady quality gets most of the credit.
