Gemsbuck bull vs 6mm Interbond

By Gawie Pistorius

May 15, 2017

I shot this large Gemsbuck bull with my .243 Tikka using a 85gr Interbond handload at just under 160 yards. Although not the ideal caliber for such a big tough animal, the broadside shot hit behind the shoulder, passed through the lungs, hit the underside of the spine, causing the bull to drop right in his tracks. The bullet mushroomed perfectly and was found under the opposite side of the skin.
