First Black wildebeest
By Izak Stoltz
April 23, 2014
In September 2013 a colleague of mine and myself went hunting near Bloemfontein in the Free State, South Africa. Since we only went for the weekend, I planned on only shooting a Blesbuck (which I did), but then the opportunity arose for me to shoot my very first wildebeest. I had my CZ .270 Winchester hand loaded with 150gr Interbond, and a young black wildebeest cow was standing around 230m distant when I fired. She rand around 50m before expiring, the Interbond performed flawlessly.
