I wasn't able to get out hunting until 6 days after the season started. Upon arriving at the farmhouse late in the afternoon we watched several nice bucks chasing does in a field as we scrambled to get our gear and get out to our blinds. Just as we were getting ready to head out we watched this buck cross the field and drop down into a big ravine. I decided to go sit along the treeline close to where we last spotted him hoping that he would come back out to feed before dark. I sat for about 2 hours with my gun ready and about 15 minutes before dark he finally stepped out...and only 35 yards away!
