Attempted deer hunt, 21 NOV 15, Nemaha, NE

My buddy I I had set up across a small ravine facing north with 10 mph wind blowing into our faces. This area of public land showed some promise and we had set up a little distance from a deer trail near the intersection where two ravines feed into one small creek.

Around 9:30am my buddy noticed a Coyote coming out of the creek bed to the north, hugging along the creek bed moving towards us at trot.

I hadn't anticipated taking a shot under 100 yards so I attempted to quickly dial my scope down with out getting busted while some trees blocked my view.

When he came back into view, still on the move, I sent a 139gr Hornady 7mm Rem mag. round his way.

The morning's deer spot was compromised to say the least, but one less coyote chasing deer in the area.
