Immediate opening for a PROCESS TECHNICIAN at Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island, NE. This position is part of the Hornady Operations department and will work directly with employees, supervisors, and management from the Cases Plant.

Essential Functions (perform or aid with the following):

• Become technical expert in operation of Transfer Presses and other highly technical machines in new expansion of the cases plant
• Train advanced machine operators on highly technical machines
• Trouble shoot machines and train operators to do the same
• Provide oversight of machine operator and equipment efficiency
• Monitor processes and recommend changes and improvements in area
• Communicate in clear and concise manner to operators, management and others involved in projects
• This position will report to cases management.

Details

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in Advanced Manufacturing or extensive manufacturing experience. Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and trouble shooting skills. Understanding and experience with the following is essential: advanced manufacturing concepts of blueprint reading, precision measurement, manual machining, CNC and CAD basics fixture and mold construction; Microsoft Office Suite (Work and Excel).
