Saw this buck hanging out in a field with a couple of his buddies about 2 miles away and thought he might be on public ground so I drove around only to find out he was on the wrong side of the fence. So I drove back to my family private ground to see the bucks running across the field headed my way. Got down to my knee and aimed high to adjust for the 300 yard shot. Emptied my lung and gently squeezed the trigger. I never heard the bullet "pop" but saw the deer running with his head down so I knew he was hit. He jumped a fence and crashed, got up and tried jumping a second only to run right into and crash again. He struggled up and went about 20 yards before falling and not moving. From the trigger pull to dead on the ground in under 30 seconds. Passed through both lungs and broke the far shoulder on the exit. Clean through. Cant beat that performance!
