On this episode, Seth sits down with two gentleman that have a combined work experience at Hornady of over 80 years. Mike Jensen and Lowell Hawthorne tell us the stories of how they got started with the company. They also talk about some of the projects they worked on over the years including the XTP line of bullets, Leverevolution and Superformance ammunition, the Hornady Handbook of Cartridge Reloading, and almost every project that Hornady has released in the past few decades. They share some of their favorite hunting stories and these two have been all over the globe. We hope you enjoy this show as much as we did. They discuss how and why it was designed, along with its military application, its hunting application, and the fun factor of this cartridge which is meant to efficiently launch heavy bullets. We know there’s a lot of 30 caliber cartridges on the market, but we think the 300 PRC is the ultimate tool for long range performance.

2021 Hunting Adventures Part 3 - Kansas Whitetail

On this episode, Seth is joined by Preston and Ryan. They discuss and reflect on their Kansas muzzleloader hunting adventure. The hunt started in September, when Sam Forbes from North American Whitetail joined the group in North-central Kansas chasing whitetails with Midwest Whitetail Adventures. Unfortunately, they were unable to successfully harvest a deer due to the hot temperatures of September. Seth and Preston headed back post-rut in December and were able to notch a tag. Steve was born in 1949, the same year that the company was founded. We talked to him about his childhood, his father and founder of the company, Joyce, as well as his cowboy days and a few of his favorite and most memorable hunts. This conversation gave us an inside look at the life and legacy of Steve Hornady.
