Technical Support Specialist

Immediate opening for a TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST position at Hornady Manufacturing in Grand Island, NE. This position in the Hornady IT Department will provide information systems technical support to internal Hornady systems users.

Essential Functions (perform or provide assistance for the following):

  • Troubleshoot and provide network support to users
  • Address day-to-day PC problems for Hornady systems users
  • Provide basic programming and setup for product labels
  • Order, setup and maintain printers and PCs
  • Perform installations, software updates and testing tasks
  • Document IT maintenance activities and system performance
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, and other networking equipment
  • Manage and track electronics inventory
  • Maintain IT documentation of standard operating procedures

Ideal candidates will have a Certificate or Degree in Information Technology and a minimum of 3-years of technical support experience. Must possess exceptional communication & customer service skills, excellent problem solving and analytical skills, and have ability to address a wide range of technical issues. Experience with Help desk, Microsoft suite (cloud & prem), networking, system and end user protection systems essential. Experience with manufacturing ERP systems preferred.
