After several days of seeing nothing but does and freezing my behind off, this bad boy walked out of the woods using a Kimber 8400 in 300 WSM. Being an avid reloader I chose a handload using a 165 Hornady SST. This load proved to be tack driver in the Kimber. One shot (short shot at approx 125 yards) and the deer was on the ground with no tracking necessary! Just the way I like it. Pictue of the quarter was a bet that I couldn't do it in one shot @100 yds using .257 Weatherby Mag (the non-believers rifle) with a handload I had worked up using 117 Hornady SST. Ya gotta love those SST's!
