I have been reloading for app. 45 years. Last Oct 2010 I bought a box of Hornady Superformance ammo 270 Win 130 gr SST. While testing my reloads for an upcoming hunt I was pleasently suprized. I was shooting 200 yards at our range using SST"s that I had reloaded with IMR 4831 powder. At 200 yards I was getting 1 3/4 inch groups and a mv of 3040 fps. There was a 'clean shoot and see' target at 200 yards so I decided to shoot the factory Superformance at the clean target. What a suprise - group size less than a inch (200 yards) and a mv of 3195 fps. I decided to use the factory ammo on the hunt. I shoot 3 deer (2 bucks and one doe) and had great terminal performance. I have not shoot factory ammo since I was 16 years old (63 now) after the hunt I went back to Cabelas and bought 2 more boxes. In few days I am leaving for North Carolina for a trophy deer hunt at Verona Farms. The rifle was sighted in yesterday using the Superformance ammo. Thanks Hornady
