The Hornady .224 52gr. BTHP bullets have been my favorite for many years for taking Prairie Dogs out to 500 yards and for calling coyotes. I've used these for hand-loads in an older Remington BDL in 22-250 Rem., a custom built Mauser 22-250 Ackley Imp. 40 deg. and now in a Ruger M77 Hawkeye Predator in 22-250 Rem. The 52gr. BTHP has ALWAYS produced! It will turn Prairie Dogs into a red mist and enter a coyote with one small hole and NEVER exit, dropping coyotes in their tracks humanely. Even a bad miss-placed shot (my bad) on a coyote will still stop them giving me a deadly final shot. These bullets have spoiled me in that I have easily worked up and found VERY accurate loads in all of these rifles, other bullets have required more work-up. The coyote was taken on 12-30-09, finally getting around to posting this.
