GMX vs Gemsbok in Namibia
Product: 30 Cal .308 165 gr GMX®

My name is Norton and I farm in Namibia. I have hunters that hunt on my farm and I also hunt all-over Namibia. I've been reloading my own ammunition for the past 5 years, and finally decided to try Hornady this year.
It's August and the hunting season is almost at its end now. After 3 months of hunting I finally managed to retrieve a Hornady GMX bullet from all the Game I hunted.
On Kudu and Gemsbok (Oryx) the GMX sliced through the big game with ease.
I use 165gr GMX on my Sauer Wolverine 300WinMag. Velocity is a mild 2950fps with half inch grouping at 100meters. The best shot this past weekend was 398meters on a Gemsbok Bull with a 10km/h cross wind. The animal managed another 30meters with a perfect heart shot. That specific GMX passed straight through although the shoulder blade was broken as well.
Needless to say I'm never changing from bullet manufacturer again, as long as Hornady keeps making this perfect premium bullet.
