I was out shooting the last of the .338 Lapua ammo you sent me for testing. I have enclosed a pic of the targets including the one at 1935 yards, I suggest you zoom in to see the arrows I put there to point the way. There are also targets at 500 yds, 1000 yds and 1435 yds. Its a hell of a long ways. My S&B optic is topped out (at 26 mils) sitting atop a 30 MOA base and there is a 12 MPH wind from 2:00 o'clock and gusting to 15+. All in all, not the best day for long range rifle shooting. The temps were in the low 40's which is cold for Phoenix. Firing was done using a Surgeon Remedy rifle and firing prone from the bi-pod.
I hit the target 5 out of 8 times using the Hornaday 285 grain match ammo. The misses were not due to elevation problems, but the gusting winds. Since it takes nearly 3.4 seconds for the bullet to fly that far, the wind is always a problem. Anyway, I was very happy with the Hornaday 285 grain, 338 Lapua Mag ammo. It shot great!
