I have just returned from safari in the Caprivi strip, Sikunga Conservancy of Namibia. My son and I shot 2 elephant (one each with both a .470 NE and .375 HH) and one hippo. For Africa, this being my third safari, we use Hornady Dangerous Game ammunition exclusively. I used a Merkel 140 in .470 NE and my son had a Kimber Caprivi in .375 HH, both with Hornady Dangerous Game Solids (DGS).
