I am an old fan of Hornady InterLock bullets. I hunt often in Namibia and South Africa (6-10 time a year). I Find that there is more than the average meat damage but have never even heard of, let alone experienced a bullet failure or sub-performance.
Among other rifles,I have a Ruger #1 (26" barrel) 300WM.
I am also an avid reloader - but for hunting rifles only.
I struggled for some time to get this 300 to group at hunting velocities.
Along came the product below (pushed at 3,000fps) with astounding results. The best grouping so far is 5 shots within a calibre grouping (.308" cntr to cntr) and regularly shoot under 1/2" groupings - all at a 100m range in all conditions.
I have taken an 850 Kg Eland Bull at 475m (ranged) and 2 spring-buck at 495 and 510m with this bullet/rifle.
I also get good results with the Hornady InterLock 220 gr RN used for Kudu in thick bush.
I use Hornady InterLock bullets in my .303 BR, 270 Win and 45-70 with no complaints.
Thank you Hornady for making trustworthy, affordable bullets for us in Africa that hunt for meat mostly .
