In the 2008 season seeing bucks of any size was not easy. Tempertures in the 80's and 90's seemed to be the norm. In Magnolia, Texas it is hard to get the bigger bucks out of the thick pines and hardwoods until it gets really cold. They like to strut their stuff on these really cold days. It was on a day like this that I was lucky enough to be in the right spot to be able to harvest my biggest buck yet. He has 6 points on his right side and 4 on his left with a 19" spread. My buck dressed out at 170 pounds. This 22 degree day turned out to be the only really cold day of the season and the best day for me.
