Hornady Manufacturing's 375 Ruger is the recipient of two National Rifle Association (NRA) Publications Golden Bullseye Awards that were presented at the 2008 NRA Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. The 375 Ruger was showcased as Ammunition Product of the Year in both American Rifleman and American Hunter.

"We are incredibly honored to receive not one, but two highly coveted Golden Bullseye Awards for our 375 Ruger," said Wayne Holt, Director of Marketing for Hornady Manufacturing. "Everything we do at Hornady is designed with the sole purpose of raising the bar for hunters and shooting enthusiasts, and it is highly gratifying that an organization as venerable as NRA Publications recognizes the results of our efforts."

"The Golden Bullseye Award acknowledges the companies and individuals who pursue excellence and innovation in the manufacture of firearms, accessories and related equipment," said Joe H. Graham, Executive Director of NRA Publications. "We honor our winners for bringing to market products remarkable in their utility to shooters and hunters."

375 RugerHighly prestigious within the shooting industry, the Golden Bullseye Awards honor the finest products available in the shooting sports. Winners are chosen by a committee of NRA Publication editors and staff with more than a century of collective experience in the firearm industry. Winning products must have been recently introduced and available to consumers; feature innovative design and function; meet or exceed field reliability expectations; and demonstrate style befitting the firearm industry as well as good purchase value.

Introduced in 2007, the 375 Ruger is one of the most practical and hardest-hitting cartridges available for large game. Featuring an innovative rimless and beltless case, the 375 Ruger has a slightly larger diameter than the 30-06, yet shares the same overall length. This allows it to be chambered in any standard length action, resulting in the smoothest feeding large game cartridge on the market. Loaded with the 270 gr. Spire Point-Recoil Proof or 300 gr. Dangerous Game Solid (DGS) or Dangerous Game eXpanding (DGX) bullets, the 375 Ruger demonstrates field-proven terminal performance that has taken animals from bushbuck to hippo.
