Hornady® Assists Cancer Patients by Donating Over $40,000 to GRACE Foundation

Hornady® Manufacturing, a manufacturer and major employer in Grand Island, Nebr., has donated $40,383 to the GRACE Foundation, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to serving cancer patients, cancer survivors, and their families.

The donation was made possible from partial proceeds of the sale of Hornady® Critical Defense® Lite™ ammunition from November 2013 to November 2014.

“We at Hornady Manufacturing are thrilled to continue our support of GRACE Foundation and the assistance that they provide cancer patients and their families in our local area,” said Renae Waltemath, Director of Sales.

Lisa Willman, co-founder of GRACE Foundation, said the gift exemplifies Hornady’s dedication to community. “These funds will enable local cancer patients and their families to stay in their homes, help to pay for prescriptions, and cover transportation costs to and from much-needed medical treatments,” Willman said. “We at the GRACE Foundation are blessed beyond words for this incredible donation, and thank Hornady for being an outstanding community advocate.”

GRACE Foundation assists cancer patients, cancer survivors, and family members who live within 40 miles of Grand Island, Nebr., or are being treated at the Grand Island Cancer Treatment Center. Aid is given in a variety of forms to address financial expenses not typically covered by insurance, such as gas cards to better enable patients to access treatment, assistance in paying household expenses, food certificates, and more.
