Hornady® Sponsors Electronic Scoring System for USA Shooting Team

Hornady® Manufacturing demonstrated its long-term support of the USA Shooting Team and its Foundation by sponsoring a state-of-the-art 10-meter firing point electronic scoring system for the Olympic Shooting Center in Colorado Springs. This sponsorship is part of an extensive range upgrade project designed to increase the event and training capabilities necessary for world-class performance by America’s elite competitive shooters.

“Hornady is actively involved in promoting interest and involvement in the shooting sports across all levels of competition,” said Steve Hornady, President of Hornady® Manufacturing. “This is especially true at the Olympic level, where American shooters compete with top competitors around the world. We’re proud to be associated with the USA Shooting Team, and honored that they will make use of the equipment we helped to provide.”

The Olympic Shooting Center, which is home to USA Shooting, is being outfitted with electronic scoring systems that provide instantaneous scoring to a tenth of a point, and transmit results around the world in real time. Electronic scoring systems boost spectator enjoyment of the sport, and are required to prepare for and host international rifle and pistol competition events.

In addition to sponsoring the USA Shooting Team, Hornady® supports a variety of shooting sport causes, including the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Fund, National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI), National Rifle Association, National 4-H Shooting Sports Foundation, and more.
