Competitors Succeed with Hornady ELD Match at April PRS Matches

This past weekend proved successful for competitors utilizing Hornady ELD Match bullets and ammunition, with solid performances at the Outback Shootout Gas Gun Match presented by Lone Star Armory in Cresson, Texas, and the Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge held at Carbon Hill, Alabama. Both matches were held April 29-30, 2017.

Braving the harsh 15-30 MPH Texas winds, Team Hornady shooter Charles Roberts got his 3rd win of the PRS season during the rapidly growing PRS Gas Gun series at the Outback Shootout Gas Gun Match. This match combined the speed of multi-gun shooting with the accuracy requirements of a PRS match. Roberts won the Tac Heavy Division shooting Hornady Match™ factory ammo loaded with the 168gr ELD® Match bullet.

"Hornady ammo did it again," exclaims Charles Roberts. "The new, ELD Match bullets, very high BC, are super consistent. During the zeroing session, my 5-round group was 3/8" MOA and dead center of the Shoot N' See. My confidence in Hornady ammo lets me focus on shooting and not worrying about ammo issues."

Greg Hamilton and George Gardner, also had a great match with 3rd & 4th place finishes, respectively, in the Open Division shooting Hornady factory 6mm Creedmoor ammunition. Team Hornady shooter Tate Moots finished 7th in the Open Division shooting 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition with 140gr ELD Match bullets.

In a very tight match, Team Hornady shooter, Tate Streater got 4th in the Open Division out of 119 shooters at the Alabama Precision Rifle Challenge. He finished at 98.6%, so it was a close match. He was shooting a 6mm Creedmoor with 108gr ELD® Match bullets.

Team Hornady shooters represent a variety of disciplines including high power rifle, action pistol, 3-Gun and benchrest. Many Team Hornady shooters have earned distinguished honors the world over, proving that consistent and accurate Hornady ammunition and bullets are key factors in a winning career.
